5G, IoT and cloud technologies to control robot fleets and drones at MWC21

MWC 2021

Alisys will show at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona its solution for the management, control and analysis of robot fleets, drones and IoT devices. This is a pioneering cloud platform in the world with which the Spanish company intends to facilitate the real deployment of robotics in industry 4.0 through a universal solution that allows the deployment of applications, control and analysis of robot fleets independently of their manufacturer.

In addition to the sensors and physical capabilities of the robots and drones, the company adds the capabilities of the Internet of things sensor technology, incorporating its own IoT systems or the possibility of integrating third-party platforms into its platform. The goal of this evolution is to provide valuable robotic solutions adapted to different industries.

The platform integrates the management of robots, drones and IoT devices so that they can work in a unified and coordinated way to make decisions and perform multiple and complex tasks.

From June 28 to July 1, Alisys will also present, at stand 15 in the Spain Pavilion, located in Hall 3 (plots 3F10 and 3E45), will show the advantages of incorporating 5G technology to this type of solutions that, thanks to increased data transmission and reduced latency, allows sharing the information provided by the various devices connected to the platform and controling fleets of robots and drones from anywhere in real time.

According to Rodolfo de Benito, Director of Technology Evolution at Alisys, " the convergence of IoT, the maturity level of Cloud Computing, and the arrival of 5G can be considered as key enablers for the actual deployment of service robots in different industries.Until now, a non-existent field, which allows creating applications that to date were very limited by the technological state. In addition, industry and digitalization are at the right time for the deployment of robots and other autonomous devices such as drones. To draw a parallel, the steam engine, in the first industrial revolution, triumphed by the convergence of a technological situation, a legal framework and a mentality of entrepreneurs; today we are in a very similar situation and I dare to predict that we are at the emergence of service robotics”.

For the technology industry benchmark event, Alisys will exemplify the platform's benefits in Industry 4.0. To do this, as an official partner of Boston Dynamics, the Spanish company will show how the capabilities of the Spot robot are increased by connecting it to its cloud solution.

Thus, from the Alisys platform, Spot is assigned both autonomous missions and teleoperated tasks from a control center. These missions range from surveillance tasks augmented with artificial vision, to the routine inspection of industrial zones. In this way, for example, the robot would automatically detect potentially anomalous situations in its operating environment and trigger actions such as the electronic closure of a valve and the sending of a maintenance notification. This functionality reduces surveillance costs, ensures the safety of employees and critical assets, simplifies processes and provides the necessary information for subsequent predictive analysis.

Alisys' participation in MWC21 with this innovative bet is an example of the projection of the service robotics market, which, according to Market & Market, will grow from $37 billion in 2020 to $102.5 billion in 2025.

Conference on robotics and IoT

In the presentation area of the Spanish Pavilion, the Director of Business Development of Robotics, Jorgina Díaz, will give the presentation "The next step: robots and IoT working together" on June 30 at 13:30 hours. Díaz will present the trends, benefits and most disruptive technologies for the deployment of dynamic robotics in combination with IoT in different industries. In addition, she will show the main use cases in security and industry 4.0.

In addition, at the Alisys stand, there will also be solutions that have made the Spanish company a benchmark in the technology sector for customer relations. Based on artificial intelligence and blockchain, Alisys customer experience solutions improve the customer experience, optimize investment, and allow managing large volumes of requests through different channels.
